Problem with Sending Emails From BN Apex with Gmail

Hey all,

I've been having a problem with sending emails from my bn apex using my gmail account. It gives me some sort of 501 error or something. Anyone know what's going on and how I can rectify the issue? Thanks!

Are you having any issues with receiving e-mails? Are the incoming and outgoing port numbers set correctly?

Agreed, check the port numbers. This is an area where the Hims products are superior. When you check use ssl which is necessary for gmail hims products automaticly change the port number to the appropriate one. the Braille note does not do this and it has to be done manually. So, be sure to check use SSL and change the port numbers appropriately.

I'm don't have any problems receiving emails. and the ports are set correctly, I believe. Of course I have to use pop and smtp, but they should be okay.

Okay, disregard this issue. I figured out what the problem was. aparently I didn't have my smtp authentication set to yes. That explains a lot!
